“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1 KJV The phrase, “In the beginning,” speaks of a time in eternity past when God began the creation of the heavens and the earth. Williams says, “Beginning is the… Continue Reading
The personal holiness of Christ was more strikingly presented in the sin offering than in any of the other sacrifices. The Holy Spirit through Moses said, “It is most holy.” The sin offering, whose blood was brought into the sanctuary, symbolized Christ bearing before God the sin of the whole world. The sin offering, the blood of which was not so brought in, but its flesh was eaten by the priests, presents Christ as making His own the sins of the individual sinner who believes upon Him.
The meat offering contained no blood, as is obvious, but it was conjoined with an offering that was literally soaked in blood, and we speak of the burnt offering. The burnt offering and the sin offering being slain upon the one spot sets out the unity of the death of Christ in its two aspects: at Golgotha, He was at once — in the same moment – accursed of God as the sin offering, and beloved of the Father as the burnt offering.
We are to now study the law of the meat offering, which, in effect, was a grain or cereal offering, which could be constituted as a thank offering. Yes, the meat offering was to ever be a memorial of what Christ would do at the Cross. We must never forget that! It must be sung in our songs, proclaimed in our messages, explained in our teaching, and, in effect, the very center of all that we are in Christ and all that we believe.
THE CROSS CAME UP BEFORE GOD AS THE HOLIEST WORK OF THE SAVIOUR, ECLIPSING ANY AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HE HAD DONE.
NOTHING ESCAPES THE EYE OF GOD, AND CONCERNING EVERYTHING, ALL MUST BE ACCOUNTED FOR, AND ALL MUST GIVE ACCOUNT!
Armageddon will be different than any other battle that has ever been fought.
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it the Valley of Hamon-gog.
“And seven months shall the House of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
“Yes, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, says the Lord GOD”
The “man of sin” will rue the day that he took on “God’s People and God’s Land.”
JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS IN ORDER FOR MAN TO BE REDEEMED, ROSE FROM THE DEAD, ASCENDED ON HIGH, AND THEN THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS SENT BACK ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (the resurrection) shall not prevent them which are asleep (the saints of God who have died in the past, which includes all). For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (I Thess. 4:15-17 KJV)
